Treasure Island

Treasure Island is a city in Pinellas County, situated on 1.6 square miles of land on the barrier island between Madeira and St. Pete beaches. It has nearly four miles of gulf beachfront running the entire length of its city limits. As of the 2010 census, the city population was 6,705.

The "Sand Sculpture Capital of Florida", Treasure Island is a vacation destination for some, a beach destination for mainlanders, and is home to many thousands of people from all walks of life. There are over 5,800 single family dwellings in Treasure Island. 

Treasure Island beaches are host to a number of special events, including Johns Pass Seafood Festival, Sanding Ovations Master Cup – Florida’s premier sand sculpting competition and the Old Salt King of the Beach – the largest and richest Kingfish tournament in the U.S.
